The whole story of Renegade started in Khara’s home state of Arkansas, where her and Brian first met and were later married. Brian introduced Khara to the wonderful world of craft beer, stating that she would need to be a beer drinker for the relationship to work. It seems to have worked out just fine.

One year Khara gave Brian a gift that would change both of their lives—a homebrew kit. Their mutual love for beer fueled a quest for creating perfect recipes. For years Khara rocked as the assistant backyard brewer and captain of sanitation. She is even responsible for the recipe flop turned masterpiece, “Cosmic Mistake,” that later made it to the Renegade taps (this raspberry goodness would be around more if it weren’t so damn messy). When they decided to turn this backyard hobby into a full-time career, Renegade was born.

Khara continues her 9-5 as an educational grant director, but you’ll often see her smiling face sitting next to you at the bar after the day is done. While Brian captains the day-to-day of Renegade, Khara holds a significant role in making Renegade possible. Together they team up to ensure Renegade is as kick-ass as ever.

Here’s some more about Khara, in her own words:
